We need to reshape our own perception of how we handle domestic violence. We need to step up and fight for what's right!

Events

We organize inclusive events to support Victims & Survivors of Domestic Violence circumstances

27 January, 2024

Our Designer Purse Bingo event will be held on 1/27/24, in honor of what would have been Winter’s 30th birthday. The event will consist of 10 games of bingo, both traditional and non-traditional boards, each game resulting in 1 winner being awarded a designer bag.

We will also have $25 (per game card) blackout game, with one winner receiving a Louis Vuitton handbag.

But that’s not all! Door prizes will be given away, a silent auction will be held, a table decorating contest, along with a 50/50 raffle, with the winner receiving 1/2 of the total funds raised!

27 May, 2023

The Winterrose Crusade with sponsorship from area businesses and organizations provided graduating seniors with drawstring backpacks designed with local and national domestic violence resource phone numbers. The bags contain t-shirts, key chains, bracelets, stickers, and other trinkets promoting anti-domestic violence. Along with brochures from area resources explaining their services.

13 May, 2023

In partnership with a local school’s culinary department, The Winterrose Crusade purchased the ingredients to prepare easy, reheatable meals. These meals were then prepared by the students of the local high school. While students were preparing the meals, they were speaking with area advocates and survivors about healthy relationships, signs of domestic violence, and the resources available to escape and overcome domestic violence situations. The prepared meals were then donated to local area shelters.

We plan on continuing to help our local communities become educated on the resources available to overcome domestic abuse.
